This beauty is Cocoa. He is one of the feral boys I took in when they were found on the Fife High School campus. He is really fluffy and can be a snuggle-bunny. (Less of a snuggle-bunny now that the dogs are in the house!)
Next is Yael. He is the brother to Cocoa and is quite reclusive. No way, no how is he a snuggler, but he loves to be petted. He and Cocoa climb the curtains at night when I can't yell at them!
Bianca is my first dog as an adult. She is a poodle mix and about two years old. Saddles slapped her around pretty good on the first day in the house, and she's been pretty anti-cat since then. She's pretty much the same with all the dogs except for Muffin. She doesn't really understand what it means to play but loves to sleep wherever I am.

Ragamuffin...Muffin for short...came from the same rescue group where I got Bianca. She's about a year old, but is all puppy-all the time. It's hilarious watching her bound - literally BOUND - across the yard. (Must be some Jack Russell terrier in her DNA!) She kind of understands what playing means and chews on whatever "toy" she finds. EVERYBODY LOVES MUFFIN!
Teddy came to live with me later in the summer. He had been returned to the rescue shelter by people who had adopted him a year earlier. He's a pretty needy boy - he begs for attention all the time - and has become the alpha male of the family.
Chance came to live with me last of all the dogs. He was part of a Californian hoarder's collection - 40+ dogs - and it took a lot of legwork to get him to Washington. He's a little guy and is routinely picked on by Teddy and Bianca. He loves Muffin - I told you everybody loves Muffin! - and racing around the backyard looking for escape holes. His nicknames are "Skittle" and "Football" because he's small.
